So, I just upgraded my copy of Windows 10 Home edition to Windows 10 Pro Edition, but for some reason. I got Windows 10 Enterprise edition instead. And now, I get an email from the date of purchase like normal, but there is no product key included and I already had a product key for Windows 10 Home edition and I can’t use my current product key to re-activate Windows 10 for the Enterprise edition.
I get an error message in the activation window saying:. We can’t activate Windows on this device as we can’t connect to your organization’s activation server. Make sure you’re connected to your organization’s network and try again. If you continue having problems with activation, contact your organization’s support person. Error Code: 0xB. I don’t know know why this is happening to me. I did buy it from the Microsoft store and then I look again and now it says, “Get Genuine Windows 10” So what could be the problem?
I’m afraid of buying another copy of Windows 10 just to get another product key. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn’t help. Thanks for your feedback. Choose where you want to search below Search Search the Community.

In order to continue using this key the computer needs to be connected to a corporate server so that the KMS server can update the lease on the key for that computer. To resolve this issue you will need to move the computer out of the volume licensing channel as follows Open an elevated command prompt type cmd.

If you upgraded through the Microsoft Store, this is an issue users have been reporting where the system accidentally upgrades your system to Windows 10 Enterprise instead of Windows 10 Pro.
To correct this issue, your best option is to contact support so they can correct it. Option 3: There is another way you might be able to downgrqade to Home without having to reinstall everything, but its pretty advanced. In your case it should at the moment show Enterprise Change ProductName to Windows 10 Pro. exe file then click Run as administrator. In reply to Greg Carmack – Windows MVP Thank you, but what I did is just downgrade back to Windows 10 Home without trying to mess things up even more. In reply to Andre for Directly’s post on July 12, Thank you, but for now.
I downgraded back to Windows 10 Home since I’m not comfortable trying to get Windows 10 Pro to work properly, but maybe I will install it again and this time, I’ll downgrade from Windows 10 Enterprise to Windows 10 Pro edition. Is it possible, I can upgrade Windows 10 Home to Windows 10 Pro using the media creation tool instead? Once I change the values in the Registry Editor? In reply to Xyz[]’s post on July 12, Thank you, I actually saw a Youtube video on that tutorial to go back to Windows 10 Home.
It wasn’t too hard actually to figure out. I’ll have to re-install Windows 10 Pro even though it will go back to Windows 10 Enterprise, but now I know to downgrade back to Windows 10 Pro using that same method you just mentioned. Mike, as I said this is due to nothing you did wrong. If you bought the Pro Upgrade then you are entitled to it.
You can try another method to apply the Upgrade to use the Pro license that you bought. To Upgrade Home to Pro after Version if you don’t yet have a Pro Digital License go offline by choosing Airplane Mode in Action Center at right end of Task Bar. No, if you want to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro, use the diagnostics key. If you bought a Windows 10 Pro upgrade through the Store and it is attached to your Microsoft Account, it should automatically activate.
Proceed to enter the key. You are welcome McMike14 Please let me know if you need any help along the way. Please also let me know how it works out when done. This site in other languages x.
